Warranty Information

Hardscape Warranty

Products:
Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC primarily works with Unilock and Techo Bloc. These manufacturers of hardscape products (ie. concrete pavers and wall block) carry their own lifetime warranties which may vary from one to another. These lifetime warranties apply to the precast block or paver itself. The specifics of the product warranty can be confirmed with the selected block product manufacturer.

Installation:
This warranty is strictly limited to contract work performed by Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC

From the date of installation, Harris Lawn guarantees your hardscape installation from settlement of pavers and walls, and from separation of wall units for a 5 year period under normal wear for which the installation was designed. For example if vehicles or equipment are driven over a walkway causing settling of pavers, and the walkway was designed and installed for pedestrian use only, Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC will not be held accountable for damage from these actions. Warranty covers loose pavers, loose edge restraints, and settlement of pavers in excess of 3/8” compared to adjacent pavers, walls, or stair treads. If your new pavers sink or settle within five years after installation, we will come back and repair them for free.

Warranty does not cover polymeric joint sand. Polymeric sand typically lasts 5-10 years. It may be necessary to power wash pavers and reapply joint sand

Extreme circumstances (including but not limited to fire, vehicular accidents, excessive flooding, excessive freezing, vandalism) causing damage to work installed by Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC are not covered under this or any other Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC warranty.

This warranty does not apply to efflorescence. Efflorescence is a naturally occurring process in all concrete products that sometimes appears in the form of a white powdery film on the pavement surface. It does not, in any way, compromise the functionality or the structural integrity of the product. Although efflorescence cannot be prevented, it will wash off over time or can be cleaned with an efflorescence cleaner. Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC accepts no responsibility or liability for this condition.

In order to enforce the rights under this warranty, the owner should promptly notify Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC of the specific item or items of concern. Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC shall respond to such warranty request within a reasonable amount of time. Any emergency requests will be given immediate attention. If Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC finds in its reasonable judgment that the item or items requiring attention are covered by this warranty, it will promptly proceed to repair and/or replace the defective materials or workmanship, at its sole cost and expense, except to the extent it finds that such repairs have been made necessary by the negligence or intentional misconduct of the owner, or any party or parties associated with owner.

This warranty shall be void and will not apply to any materials which were originally installed by Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC, then subsequently repaired, adjusted, or modified by an individual or entity other than Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC or its authorized representative.

Replacements and/or repairs furnished under this warranty shall not carry a new warranty, but shall carry only the unexpired portion of the original warranty provided.
No person is authorized to make any warranties other than those described above or to extend the duration of any warranties beyond the time period described above

Planting Warranty

Your landscape is accompanied with a 90 day limited warranty on the trees and shrubs installed by Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC if maintained per the standards below:

We must be notified of claim prior to expiration for an accurate assesment of plant health.
Newly installed landscape plants will suffer transplant shock, particularly during the hot summer months. It is imperative that plants receive proper care, so as to minimize stress. Upon installation or purchase it is then the responsibility of the owner to supply the plant with sufficient water and fertilizer (as needed) during their growing season to keep them healthy.
Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC, will make warranty replacements during the optimum planting seasons: spring and fall. Typically, replacements will take place between May 1st through June 30th and September 1st through November 15th.
Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC, assumes no liability for replacement of plants killed or damaged by pests, insect infestation, abnormal weather conditions, or other conditions beyond our control including lack of proper watering or fertilizing nor will we replace plants experiencing “seasonal die-back”, when pruning and proper care will restore them to health.
Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC cannot warranty against weed growth in mulch or topsoil beds, due to the germination of dormant seeds prevalent in the soil.
This warranty shall be void and will not apply to any plants which were originally installed by Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC then subsequently repaired, adjusted, moved or modified by an individual or entity other than Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC.

Annuals, perennials, bulbs, ground covers, and transplanted plant material are NOT covered under this or any other Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC warranty.

Our limited warranty covers the cost of plant material itself and not the labor required to replace it. Replacement tree/bush will be provied free of charge hower installation will be billed hourly at our current hourly rate.

Hydroseed Warranty

Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC does not warranty seed installed on properties without irrigation systems. Proper watering and fertilization must occur.
Warranty period extends 60 days from the completion of the installation. We offer a 1 time call back to touch up any areas where grass seed does not germinate. After the 60 day warranty period, your grass should be at a maturity and the warranty period is complete.
Harris Lawn & Landscape is not responsible for soil and seed washouts, relocation or ponding due to excessive watering or hard rains.
Warranty is void in the event that it is determined that damage was caused due to negligence of care, or improper application of fertelizer/herbecide by anyone other than Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC.
Warranty is only valid for new installations or overseeding jobs with loam installed by Harris Lawn. Customer can supply the loam and receive warranty in the event a soil sample was taken. Warranty does not apply to splice seeding, aeration/seeding, or seed installed on loam supplied by the customer without a soil sample.

Sod Warranty

Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC does not warranty sod installed on an un-irrigated property. Proper watering and fertilization must occur.
Warranty Period is for 60 days. At this point the sod should be well rooted and established. We offer a one-time call back on sod installations to address any issues.
Harris Lawn & Landscape is not responsible for soil washouts, or ponding due to excessive watering or hard rains.
Warranty is void in the event that it is determined that damage was caused due to negligence of care, or improper application of fertelizer/herbecide by anyone other than Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC.
Extreme circumstances (including but not limited to fire, vehicular accidents, excessive flooding, excessive freezing, vandalism) causing damage to work installed by Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC are not covered under this or any other Harris Lawn & Landscape LLC warranty.
